Western Province Rugby Referees Society, which is under the purview of the Western Province Rugby Union, has been reactivated to meet the demand for quality referees.
WPRRS has been providing referees for friendly school matches as well as the All-Island Inter University Tournament 2023 conducted by Moratuwa university under the banner of Mora Sevens.
Booso’s Dental chamber & Laboratory and AMS sports, a leading sports goods supplier, have come forward to sponsor WPRRS for 2023.
WP rugby referees are trained by World Rugby trainer Dilroy Fernando and assisted by World Rugby educator Vimal Perera.
