Sri Lankan film Tentigo (Nelum Kuluna) has made history as the first Sri Lankan movie to be remade in multiple languages.

Directed by Ilango Ram, the 2023 Sinhala-language comedy-drama has been officially remade in Tamil (Perusu) and Telugu (Pedha), with Kannada and Malayalam dubbed versions also completed.

A Hindi remake is in development, while European adaptations in Spanish, Italian, French, and Belgian are underway.

A U.S. remake is set to be produced by a Korean company.

Tentigo has earned international acclaim, winning the Special Jury Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and representing Sri Lanka at major global festivals.
