A warm weather advisory has been issued for residents of the Western, Northern, North-central, North-western, and Eastern provinces, along with the Monaragala district. 

According to the Department of Meteorology the heat index is expected to rise to ‘Caution Level’ in these areas tomorrow (9), The heat index, which measures the temperature felt by the human body, is influenced by both relative humidity and maximum temperature. 

The department has advised residents to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities to avoid heat-related issues like fatigue and cramps.
