Post-mortem exams on British tourist Ebony McIntosh (24) and German tourist Nadine Raguse (26), who died after falling ill at a Colombo hostel on 1 February, were conducted yesterday (11).

The exact cause of death remains unclear, with further investigation underway. 

McIntosh’s family has arrived to repatriate her body to the UK, while Raguse’s body is being prepared for transport to Germany. 

Investigations are ongoing, and the hostel has been closed by authorities.
