Popular YouTuber Ashen Senarathna's independent group’s nomination was rejected by the Election Commission (EC) due to submission by an unauthorised individual.
Senarathna expressed frustration, stating he was present but asked to wait outside while another candidate submitted the papers.
He plans to take legal action against the decision.
The EC cited the Election Act, which requires specific individuals to hand over nominations to avoid disqualification.
