The Navy inaugurated 4 new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in Janasirigama, Hinguruwewagama, Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya, and Mahagaswewa Maha Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura district yesterday (4).
These RO plants are a part of a Navy project to install 31 plants across the district, with funding by the Presidential Secretariat.
Accordingly, 7 RO plants are currently operational, with 24 more set to be completed by 13 December, benefiting multiple Divisional Secretariats in the region.
