In a significant development, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Principals of Hindu College Colombo and Jaffna Hindu College on 18 June 2023 at the boardroom of Tamil Union. This MoU reflects the commitment of both institutions to foster camaraderie and promote healthy competition among their students.
The excitement reached new heights as the cricket captains from both schools unveiled the highly sought-after 12th “Battle of the Hindus” cup.
This prestigious trophy represents the pinnacle of achievement for the victorious team, a symbol of their dedication and hard work throughout the tournament.

In the past 11 occasions, Hindu College Colombo emerged victorious on three occasions and Jaffna Hindu College had won once. Remaining seven instances, the match ended in a draw.
