The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) raided a factory in Hemmatagama, Mawanella, for distributing bottled water with an expired Ministry of Health certificate obtained through false information.
Officers seized over 3,000 bottles of varying sizes prepared for distribution.
Legal action will be taken under the CAA Act for misleading consumers with false endorsements.
