The Department of Immigration and Emigration has introduced an Online Passport Appointment System to simplify the passport application process. 

Applicants can now register for a passport in three languages via https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/MakeAppointments/

The system is open to new applicants, renewals, and replacements. Registration requires a valid National Identity Card (NIC) and mobile number. 

For children under 16, a parent’s NIC number must be provided. The system applies to both One Day and Normal Service options.
