Sri Lanka has declared today (26) a national day of mourning in honour of the funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican.

The national flag is being flown at half-mast across Government institutions.

A Sri Lankan delegation, including Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith and Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, is attending the ceremony at St. Peter’s Square.
