Ganga Seneviratne wins silver in Singapore

Sri Lanka's Ganga Seneviratne won a silver medal in the 18th Singapore National Swimming Championships held at the OCBC in Singapore by winning the second place in the 200 metre backstroke women's event.

Ganga recorded a time of 2.20.72 minutes, while Kim Yam Yong from South Korea secured the first place. The third place went to Faith Elizabeth from Singapore. Meanwhile, Ganga also participated in the 50 metre and 100 metre backstroke events and managed to finish fourth in both the events.

Participating in this tournament, Ramudi Samarakoon managed to set a new Sri Lankan record by participating in the women's 200 metre breaststroke event. She recorded a time of 2.43.48 minutes in that event.
