The Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) is making final preparations for Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s arrival today (4) for a three-day visit.
Flight schedules have been adjusted, and a VIP security convoy, including Indian Air Force helicopters, has been deployed.
Roads from BIA to Colombo are decorated with Sri Lankan and Indian flags, while the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway will be intermittently closed from 6 PM to 10 PM for security.
