Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala informed Parliament that over 100,000 illegal immigrants may arrive in Sri Lanka soon, based on intelligence from police and army investigations. 

Recently, 116 Rohingya refugees were rescued off Mullaitivu, having paid millions to human traffickers. 

The Government is providing necessary facilities for the group and plans to address illegal immigration as a social issue while adhering to international laws.
