Police have clarified that a forged letter falsely bearing the Acting IGP’s name and signature is circulating on social media. 

The letter mentions a non-existent “Computer Crime Headquarters” and uses fake state emblems. 

Police emphasised it is a deliberate fabrication intended to mislead the public and damage the department’s reputation.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has launched an investigation to identify and take legal action against those responsible.
