Police announced that the A-9 main road to Jaffna, which was closed at Omanthai due to flooding, has now been reopened for traffic.
Floodwaters near Nochchimoddai Bridge and Omanthai Town had previously inundated the area, prompting the closure of the road yesterday (27). As the floodwaters recede, the road is now clear for vehicles to pass as usual.
