The vessels ‘Bungo’ and ‘Etajima’ of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on Tuesday (1). The 141 metres (m)-long ‘Bungo’ is an Uraga-Class Minesweeper Tender ship manned by a crew of 125 while ‘Etajima’’ is a 65m-long Minesweeper that operates with a crew of 54 personnel. The ships are scheduled to set sail from Colombo tomorrow (4), according to the Sri Lanka Navy.
