Levan S. Dzhagaryan, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sri Lanka, expressed hope for constructive dialogue with the U.S. to ease trade restrictions. 

Speaking at a National Chamber of Commerce event in Colombo, he described sanctions on Russia as illegal and a major hurdle for businesses wanting to trade with Russia but fearing secondary sanctions. 

He assured that the Russian embassy is committed to supporting trade cooperation and overcoming challenges gradually.
