The Sri Lanka police have revealed preliminary details of the investigation of top economist Amal Sanderatne's untimely death that took place yesterday.
Police spokesman Rohan Gunasekera revealed that Sanderatne had jumped out the apartment suddenly while having guests at his home.
"Sanderatne had guests at his place and suddenly, while in the company of others, had walked to the balcony and jumped out of it. Sanderatne was behaving quite normally with his guests just before he jumped out of the balcony. We know that Sanderatne has been under treatment for depression for the last couple of years," said Gunasekera.
