Responding to allegations that there would be a shortage of garments, Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardana stated that he would take the responsibility to ensure that people get undergarments at a rebated price through the Sathosa.
This statement was made during a media briefing held yesterday (11) along with apparel manufacturers.
He further went on to state that the local manufacturers have ample of stocks to meet the demands of the people, and no such shortage would happen.
