There is no truth to the rumours of former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa leaving the country in a private jet for an unknown destination, The Morning learns.
Speaking to The Morning, the Colombo International Airport (Ratmalana) Chief Airport Manager said that such information is false.
“The international departure concerned had no local passengers on board. Only two British passport holders departed on that flight through Ratmalana,” he said.
It was also added that the two departing passengers had arrived in the country on the 29th of March.
