Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), as part of their restructuring programme of the High Performance Centre, made appointments of coaching units to Sri Lanka “A”, Emerging, and Under-19 teams yesterday (28). Earlier, on 17 April, SLC announced the new appointments to the Sri Lankan men’s national team.

- Mahela Jayawardene was appointed Consultant Coach of the Men’s, U-19, and “A” teams for a period of one year, from 1 January 2022
- Naveed Nawaz’s appointment is for two years, effective from 1 April 2022
- Anton Roux’s appointment as national Fielding Coach is effective from 7 March 2022
- Chaminda Vaas, Piyal Wijetunge, and Manoj Abeywickrama are to work with the national team during the upcoming Bangladesh Test tour
- Appointments on Sri Lanka “A”, Emerging, and Under-19 came into effect from 1 March 2022
- After Tillakaratne was appointed in June last year, the rest of the national women’s team coaching staff was appointed in September 2021
