Police have arrested 32 people, including the girl's mother, in connection with the sale of a 15 - year - old girl for sexual activities on the internet.
Four persons were also arrested yesterday (04).
Investigations have revealed that advertisements have been published on four other websites to sell the girl.
Meanwhile, a Maldivian national who had taken the girl for money and the manager of the hotel who had provided room facilities for abusing the girl were also among those arrested yesterday.
Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said that another 12 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The Mount Lavinia Police had initially commenced investigations into the incident on June 07.
