The entire country is aware of the fraud this Government is doing by throwing the thieves into the washing machine and then again re-appointing them instead of making a change in policies, says Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. He made this statement during a media brief today (26). "The entire 22 million in this country can see now who the main culprit is for the crisis in Sri Lanka. This is a scam. We never said that we cannot take over the Government. Even now, I am ready to take over as the Prime Minister," said Premadasa. He further added that the main Central Bank thieves are re-appointed to positions to catch more thieves. "Is it even possible to appoint the main Central Bank thieves to catch more thieves? This is the Government right now. Private sector employees, public and semi government employees are all in dire trouble right now. The World Bank clearly mentioned in their statement, they will not give Sri Lanka financial aid until a proper plan and structure is in place for the macroeconomy. Funnily, this Government is resorting to printing more money as a solution to the economic crisis. Is this the solution given by the man who has 7 brains? There is not solution," he added. Premadasa further mentioned that media institutions were informed by the Government that Sajith Premadasa is now against the 21st amendment, which Premadasa claimed was false. "This Government is now speaking to the media and telling them that Sajith is against the 21st amendment. How can they make these claims when we were the ones who opposed it in the first place?," Premadasa concluded.
