General Secretary of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC) and State Minister of Estate Housing MP Jeevan Thondaman visited a crime scene in Nuwara Eliya today.
The crime scene was located in Lindula where a young girl had accidentally fallen into the Devon Falls approximately four days ago, but no body has been found as of yet, the Ministry said.
The girl was from Ian Thomas Division of Waltrime Estate, Lindula.
MP Thondaman visited the site and informed Nuwara Eliya District Army Commander to explore the possibilities to locate the body and obtain expert advice from Colombo for its search and retrieval.
