The Ministry of Highways stated that the Kottawa exit of the Southern Expressway will be closed untill further notice from 6 am today (28) after three Road Development Authority (RDA) employees tested positive for Covid-19. Motorists have been requested to use the Athurugiriya and Kahatuduwa exit points. However, vehicles have been allowed to enter from Kottawa without the issuance of tickets. Despite the closure of the Kottawa exit, buses and ambulances will still be allowed to pass.
