A multi-service project called Manudam was held on 01 and 02 May in accordance with all health regulations, organised by all the Leo Clubs of Leo District 306 C2.
Accordingly, the people of Pavakodichchenai, Nochekadal, Bharathinagar, Ayithumalar and Unnichai in the Batticaloa District, who have been suffering from kidney diseases for many years without any solution to the problem of clean water, have been able to receive a purified water system that supplies water to nearly 4,000 people.
Also, with the diligence of C2 Leos and the locals, it was possible to disinfect and renovate a dilapidated community hall and convert it to an open library with electricity and other new facilities.
On the first day of the project, a health camp and spectacles were distributed to the people of all the five villages and a free program was launched to introduce the facilities available to the people, including government training institutes around the village.
