MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara has tested positive for Covid-19 today, stated Sergeant-at-Arms of Parliament Narendra Fernando.
The minister is to be taken to a Covid treatment facility. Currently, steps are being taken to identify the Minister's close contacts.
Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara has been reported as the third MP to be diagnosed COVID positive in the last few days after State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara and MP Rauff Hakeem.
