Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Namal Rajapaksa has initiated a 13M Vaccines 13M Trees programme. Accordingly, the Minister stated that the citizens of Sri Lanka should take it upon themselves to pay attention to the health of the planet. "As the world battles one of the greatest challenges faced by mankind with #COVID19! Lets not forget our planet which has endured so much at our hands! As we each get inoculated, lets give back & plant a tree as a token of hope! 13M vaccines 13M trees! We can change the world #hope4SL," he stated in his official website. Rajapaksa said that the citizens of Sri Lanka should be committed to planting a tree followed by their inoculation as a way of giving back to the environment.
