President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said today that he too has two sides and one of them is the ‘President Gotabaya’ side while the other is the ‘defence secretary Gotabaya’ side.
He said this while speaking at the Gama Samaga Pilisadara programme at Uhana, Lathugala in Ampara today.
The President said, “The people voted us in to change the system and that includes the political culture as well. However, the opposition has not realised this yet which was evident from the way Harin Fernando spoke in parliament recently. That’s not what we expect. Yes I'm Nandasena Gotabaya. I too have two sides. Even today, some prelates want the strict ‘defence secretary Gotabaya’ instead of the President Gotabaya. If they want me to be strict, I can be that too.”
