1,610 workers, traders and businessmen at the Dambulla Economic Center have been vaccinated against Covid-19 this morning (27), Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.
The Dambulla Economic Center had to be temporarily closed due to the Covid threat that had arisen on several previous occasions.
Accordingly, this vaccination program has been initiated considering the existing risks.
The Army Commander further said that the vaccination programme will be implemented in the Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts from today.
He also added that the vaccinations will be given to the people in the areas recommended by the Epidemiology Unit on the instructions of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
