Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s official website was reported to have been the target of hackers yesterday (02), a spokesperson from the Computer Emergency Readiness Team/Co-ordination Centre (CERT|CC) said.
According to the spokesperson, the PM’s website was hacked in a manner in which any visitor to the website would be redirected to another website which displays content related to the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.
However, CERT|CC stated that PM Rajapaksa’s website has now been restored and is functioning as usual.
