The measure has been taken to curb a possible coronavirus outbreak in the area, according to Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.
The Health Ministry yesterday (17) said many Sri Lankans who have returned from Italy and have evaded quarantine procedure are currently residing in the Puttalam District.

Police curfew has been imposed on the Puttalam District and the kochchikade Police area with effect from 4.30 p.m. today.
