Popular political youtuber Sudaththa Ranasinghe has arrived at the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) today (15) to lodge his statement regarding a controversial statement he had mentioned on his YouTube page, The Morning learns.
He was summoned to the CID last week, and sources say it was due to his outspoken controversial comments made on his YouTube page, Sudaa Creations, against the Government.
Ranasinghe gained global popularity for his YouTube channel, in which he interviews politicians from opposition parties such as the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
Several SJB and JVP MPs arrived at the CID to show support to 'Sudaa', along with legal aides.
