The Railway Department today filed a Police complaint as a strain strike continued despite a gazette notice being issued declaring Sri Lanka Railways as an essential service. The Railway Department sought Police action on those responsible for the strike. A one day token strike was conducted today by railway trade unions over a demand related to salary anomalies.
