SriLankan Airlines has thanked its patriotic 16 member crew who volunteered to operate on the mercy flight that brought back 33 Sri Lankan students from Wuhan, China.
Flight UL-1423 landed at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport(MIA) this morning(1) following its extremely long turnaround flight from Colombo to Wuhan.
Students were then directed to the quarantine facility at the Diyatalawa Base Hospital premises.
Since January 23, the Wuhan city of 11 million has been on lockdown. The Chinese government closed off Wuhan to try and stop the novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) from spreading.
