Social media last week highlighted the emergence of yet another individual claiming to have manufactured a cure for Covid-19. Going by the media reports, it seemed like déjà vu considering the Dhammika tonic last year.
The latest individual to gain fame for manufacturing what is claimed to be a cure for Covid-19, is Angampora Veda Mahaththaya. The Facebook page of Angampora Veda Gedara had last week published photographs of people gathering to secure the “cure”.
The photographs published showed people flocking outside this “Veda Gedara” without adhering to any health regulations.
