Popular singer Umaria Sinhawansa was released on bail yesterday (1) after being produced before Court by the Welikada Police in relation to a vehicle accident that occurred in Rajagiriya.
Police Media Spokesman Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Ajith Rohana confirmed that a car driven by Sinhawansa collided with a three-wheeler near the Rajagiriya flyover at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday (31 July).
The three-wheeler driver was injured in the incident and was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
The Welikada Police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
